Keisha and Alexis’ Grand Adventure is a series to help children navigate change, face fears, value differences, and learn other life skills. The main characters, Keisha and Alexis, are sisters. Keisha enjoys scientific observation and Alexis enjoys creative reflection. Their mother helps them to understand the beauty of their unique approach to experiencing the world around them. They practice kindness as they meet characters from different backgrounds throughout their Grand Adventure. The girls are encouraged to nurture their gifts, value differences, and show compassion. After reading, children will possess the same tools as Keisha and Alexis for navigating their own experiences.
Keisha
Keisha, an 8-year-old girl with a boundless love for science, is constantly immersed in the wonders of nature, exploring every nook and cranny with eyes wide open in curiosity and amazement. She takes great joy in her role as an older sister, gently sharing her discoveries. Her enthusiasm for learning and eagerness to teach shine through as she leads by example.
Alexis
Alexis, 7 years old and a mere 15 months younger than her sister Keisha, enjoys solitude and immersing herself in her art. She expresses her thoughts on paper. Alexis is naturally not inclined to venture outdoors. However, She loves following Keisha’s lead as they explore the world beyond her quiet corner.
